His forthcoming engagements affirm his place among the leading voices in ópera en México. At their heart is his portrayal of the title character in Giacomo Puccini’s beloved comic masterpiece, Gianni Schicchi—a work of wit, mischief, and enduring delight.
Guided by the artistic vision of Rogelio Rojas-Nolasco, founder of Operisima Mexico, this eagerly anticipated production will grace the historic Teatro Ángela Peralta on November 9, 10, and 11, 2026.
As the cunning, quick-witted peasant who turns an inheritance scheme to his advantage, Yair brings sparkling comic instinct and agile vocal artistry to one of opera's most cherished buffo roles.
Hailing from Pachuca, Hidalgo, Mexico, he has emerged as a compelling presence on the international operatic stage, captivating audiences with profound musicality and richly nuanced portrayals across a repertoire spanning classical masterworks, bel canto, contemporary works, and even roles in productions like Suor Angelica.
